<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate of a heat sensitive lithographic printing plate, which has an excellent printing-out property and sensitivity, free from generation of a scum due to an ablation in an overcoat layer, and eliminates the need for development. <P>SOLUTION: This original plate of a heat sensitive lithographic printing plate has a hydrophilic overcoat layer to be removed on a printing machine. The hydrophilic overcoat layer contains die in which the optical density in a visible light region can be varied by exposure and which has no maximum absorption in a region having a wavelength of 700 nm or longer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
