PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically control a transmission similarly as ordinary traveling, even in a case when an accelerator depressing amount can not be referred during automatic traveling by a cruise control function. SOLUTION: This automatic gear shifting control device comprises an accelerator opening degree sensor 7, an engine control unit 6 comprising the cruise control function permitting the automatic travelling at an arbitrary constant speed, and a transmission control unit 5. A means for determining whether the cruise control is executed or not, is mounted to interrupt the reference to the detected accelerator opening degree and the reference to a gear shifting map based on the accelerator opening degree and the engine rotating speed during the cruise control, and a transmission 4 is controlled in reference to the pseudo accelerator opening degree calculated based on a fuel injection amount to keep the arbitrary constant speed and the engine rotating speed during the cruise control, and an exclusive gear shifting map based on the pseudo accelerator opening degree and the engine rotating speed.
