<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card having a data protecting function for making it unnecessary for a host device which is likely to write erroneous data to perform any rewriting processing and a function for informing the host device that the data has been written back in performing data write-back processing. <P>SOLUTION: This IC card is provided with an arithmetic processing part 5, a volatile memory 2, a read only non-volatile memory 3 and a read/write enabling non-volatile memory 4. This system is provided with a function for writing data to be written in the other area of the second non-volatile memory 4 before writing data in the second non-volatile memory 4 and a function for recording write-back information 14 indicating that the data to the second non-volatile memory 4 has been written back in the second non-volatile memory 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
