PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for correcting an angular increment output of a ring laser gyro by removing an error in the increment output caused by PLC reset. SOLUTION: This method comprises a step S11 for finding a presumed normal value of an angular increment output at a calculation timing Tn+1 by using an angular increment outputΔθn at a calculation timing Tn and an angular increment outputΔθn+2 at a calculation timing Tn+2 after two calculation periods at the calculation timing Tn; a step S12 for finding a difference between the normal value and the increment outputΔθn+1 outputted at the calculation timing Tn+1 and finding the difference as a correction amountΔC for the increment output; and a step S13 for correcting an angular increment outputΔθn+3 at a calculation timing Tn+3 after three calculation periods at the the calculation timing Tn by adding thereto the correction amountΔC and finding the addition correction value for theΔθn+3 as an angular increment at the calculation timing Tn+3.
