PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an oscillation phenomenon of a variable displacement type vane pump, to reduce the pulsation or the like, and to dissolve noise problems. SOLUTION: A metering orifice 40 is provided in the middle of a discharge side passage of pressure fluid. First and second fluid pressure chambers 36, 37 are formed between a cam ring 17 and an adaptor ring 19. The variable displacement type vane pump is provided with a spool type control valve 30 working by the fluid pressure on the upstream and downstream sides of the metering orifice and fluid passages 19b, 35 for communicating this control valve to the first fluid pressure chamber. The control valve selectively leads the fluid pressure on the upstream side of the metering orifice and the fluid pressure on the pump suction side to the first fluid pressure chamber by movement of a spool 32. The fluid passages 35, 19b communicate the control valve to the first fluid pressure chamber through a throttle part (throttle 52) provided on the adaptor ring. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
