PURPOSE: An apparatus for preliminarily pickling high radioactive contaminated metal is provided which primarily removes the radioactive material before decontaminating a metal contaminated with a radioactive material through electro-polishing. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a cleaning unit(10) in which an acidic cleaning solution(14) is filled so that an object(5) is dipped into the cleaning solution; an injection means for injecting the cleaning solution onto the object; a temporary storage tank(20) for moving the cleaning solution when installing the object so that the cleaning solution is stored in the temporary storage tank; first and second pumps(18,22) connected between the cleaning unit and the temporary storage tank to circulate the cleaning solution; a neutralization means for moving the cleaning solution in the temporary storage tank to neutralize the cleaning solution; and a filtering means for filtering the cleaning solution neutralized by the neutralization means, wherein the injection means comprises suction pipe, discharge pipe on which a plural discharge nozzles are installed, and circulation pump(12), wherein the neutralization means comprises neutralization tank(30), third pump(34), pH meter(32), neutralizing agent tank(60) and agitator(36), wherein the filtering means comprises liquid filtering unit(44), fifth pump(46), storage tank(40), valve(48) and fourth pump(42), and wherein the apparatus further comprises a connection pipe one end of which is connected to a certain height of the cleaning unit, and the other end of which is connected to the temporary storage tank to prevent overflow of the cleaning solution in the cleaning unit.
