PURPOSE: A tape recorder is provided to prevent a running magnetic tape by contacting to a pole base assembly and a head drum from contacting to a power cable supplying power and a control signal to the head drum simply and cheaply. CONSTITUTION: The head drum(120) is installed to one side of a deck. The power cable(160) is connected to the one side of the head drum by being extended along a side face of a deck sash(210). The pole base assembly(171) make the head drum closely contact to the magnetic tape by moving along a guide rail when the magnetic tape is loaded. A contact preventing part(250) prevents the magnetic tape from contacting to the power cable when the magnetic tape is completely loaded by being projected to a predetermined height.
