PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freely elevated chair, freely adjustable in height ranging from the height to be used in kotatsu (Japanese foot warmer with frame and coverlet) or a low table to the height near the knees of an ordinarily using person to be used at a desired height, and reduced in weight and size to be easily carried and stored. SOLUTION: The height of a seat surface of a chair can be freely controlled by rotating a long screw for a moving shaft to move a control rod, thereby varying the angle of a pantographic elevating leg depending on the position of the control rod.
