LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DRIVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display panel, an apparatus and a method for driving the panel are provided to reduce power consumption and minimize vertical crosstalk. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal display panel(32), a gate driver(34) for driving gate lines(GL1 to GLn) of the liquid crystal display panel, a data driver(36) for driving data lines(DL1 to DLm+1), and a timing controller(38) for controlling the gate driver and the data driver. The liquid crystal display panel includes the first horizontal line consisting of liquid crystal cells including thin film transistors(TFT) and pixel electrodes(PXL) located at the left of each data line and connected to each data line, and the second horizontal line consisting of liquid crystal cells including thin film transistors and pixel electrodes located at the right of each data line and connected to each data line. The first and second horizontal lines are alternately arranged.
