PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counterweight for a service car improving a safety in the case of an operation and facilitating the maintenance/inspection of an engine without damaging an appearance. SOLUTION: In the counterweight for the service car, in which an external surface is molded in an approximately arcuate shape while a central section is extended upwards and which is made of a casting, the counterweight has an inspection hole formed at the central section of the counterweight, a cover covering the inspection hole and a hinge mechanism pivotally supporting the cover rotatably. An additional weight section is formed on the cover, and the cover is used as an auxiliary counterweight for the counterweight. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
