PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tip of a side viewing endoscope where a cap is prevented from coming off from a tip body or rotating by forming a projecting part on the erected lever housing chamber of the tip body and forming a recess part to engage with this projecting part at the cap. SOLUTION: The tip 10 is constituted by covering the tip body 12 with the cap 14. The tip body 12 has the erected lever housing chamber 20 housing the erected lever, and a projecting line part 38 is formed on the upper surface of this chamber 20. A recessed line groove 40 is formed inside of the cap 14, and this groove 40 is engaged with the projecting line part 38.
