PURPOSE: A planar inductor is provided to reduce the size of the inductor and achieve improved insulating strength even without adding an insulator plate and bobbin. CONSTITUTION: A planar inductor comprises an upper core(201) and a lower core(202) which are made of magnets; and printed circuit boards of two or more layers interposed between the upper core and the lower core. Each of the printed circuit boards is coated with an epoxy resin. The printed circuit boards are accommodated into the groove formed at the upper core or the lower core. The epoxy resin is coated into a thickness of 0.1mm or higher, all over the printed circuit board excluding pads(205a,205b,205c,205d,205e,205f) for connection with external terminals.
