ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FOR REDUCING UNDESIRABLE CURVE OF INSULATOR INCLUDED THEREIN

PURPOSE: An electric connector is provided to reduce an undesirable curve of an insulator included in the connector. CONSTITUTION: An electrical connector includes an insulator(10) and a plurality of contact pins accommodated by the insulator. The insulator includes a base(11) extended in the first direction and has a length in the second direction perpendicular to the first direction and a height in the third direction perpendicular to the first and second directions. The insulator further includes a plate-shaped part(12). The plate-shaped part is extended from the top of the base along the second direction and has the first and second surfaces facing each other in the third direction. The plate-shaped part includes a plurality of grooves(14) formed on the first surface. The grooves are extended in parallel in the second direction and separated in the first direction such that a ridge(15) is formed between adjacent grooves of the first direction. The contact pins are supported by the base and extended in the first direction along the grooves. The insulator has a pattern on the second surface. The pattern includes at least one depression(16) formed on the second surface and/or at least one protrusion formed on the second surface.
