COMPOUND OXIDE COATED SILVER POWDER, AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inorganic oxide coated silver powder having thermal shrinkage resistance at least comparable to that of the conventional one and low electric resistance characteristics without bringing about major changes to the powder characteristics of silver powder as a core material. SOLUTION: The compound oxide coated silver powder which has a compound oxide layer of the particulate surface of the silver powder and in which the compound oxide layer is composed of manganese oxide and silver oxide is used. Also, a method for manufacturing the compound oxide coated silver powder using potassium permanganate is provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
