<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition decreasing serum cholesterol. <P>SOLUTION: This stanol composition containing a considerable amount of, i.e. at least 10% of, campestanol in addition to a main ingredient sitostanol effectively decreases a serum cholesterol level when added to food products.
