PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double bearing type fishing reel with which the false return prevention action of clutch mechanism is operated only when the pressing operation force of an angler is applied to a pressing operation part and the false return prevention action is nonopreated simultaneously with the release of the pressing operation force. SOLUTION: The double bearing type fishing reel has constitution that the rotation operation plate 4 of a change operation tool C of clutch mechanism is equipped with an operation lever 4e and a bending part 4h, the bending part 4h is arranged in parallel with a spool shaft 14. The pressing operation part 5 is equipped with a deformed trapezoidal hole 5b storing the length of the bending part 4h in a central part 5a and the bending part 4h and a spring 23 are inserted into the hole 5b. A finger placing part 5c is formed on the rear face of the central part 5a of the pressing operation part 5 and a vertically long flange part 5d is formed at the side of a right right-hand side frame 1b. A flange part 5e is formed on the upper part of the flange part 5d and the projected latching part 5f of a clutch false return prevention mechanism is formed at the lower part of the flange part 5d. A recessed latching receive part 1g of the prevention mechanism into which the latching part 5f is inserted is formed at a circular part 1e inside the right-hand side frame 1b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
