PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which is used for various electronic appliances and has heightened density and reduced size. SOLUTION: A leg part 13D protruding downward is provided on the lower surface of a holder 13 housing a liquid crystal element 14, a pawl part 13E formed on the leg part 13D is fixed to a notch part 11A or a through hole of a wiring board 11, the holder 13 is spaced from the wiring board 11 by the leg part 13D and a specified gap between the top surface of the wiring board 11 and the lower of the holder 13 is formed to thereby constitute the display device.
