PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer system wherein a communication terminal effectively transfers prescribed data among data included in the communication terminal to an application terminal while increasing the degree of freedom for connection between the communication terminal and the application terminal. SOLUTION: A user operates the communication terminal 10 independently of a location of the application terminal 30, acquires data denoting a position of a destination from a center 22 via a network 20, and stores the data to a storage section 14. Then, the user brings the communication terminal 10 to the installed location of the application terminal 30 and a communication terminal side data transfer section 12 transmits a coordinate data file to the application terminal 30 with a method appropriate to a data form of the position data on the basis of the data denoting the position of the destination stored in the storage section 14. The application terminal 30 receives the coordinate data file transmitted from the communication terminal 10 and a path guide section 36 searches a path up to the destination on the basis of a current position acquired separately and a display section 32 displays the searched path.
