<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk having few errors in recording or reading and a high-quality optical disk formed from aromatic polycarbonate resin pellets generating few amount of fine powders. <P>SOLUTION: This disk is the optical disk provided with a substrate made of aromatic polycarbonate resin, and an aluminum layer formed thereon. The disk is constituted so that an average per second of C1 error measured by using a BLER (block error rate) measurement apparatus is 3.0 or less.
