PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side ditch for a road capable of avoiding the occurrence of noise and damage caused by the traveling of a vehicle, preventing clogging in a rainwater collection part due to sediment, allowing rainwater to flow into the side ditch easily, and preventing reduction in flow velocity even with a small amount of water to prevent the deposit of the sediment. SOLUTION: The upper face of a top wall 2 formed integrally with both side walls 3, 3 has a plate shape. A long and narrow opening 21 with the lower part of a large width is formed on the end face of the top wall 2. A connection part 32 formed with a bolt insertion hole 31 is formed on outer faces of the side walls 3, 3.
