FLAME RETARDANT FOR PLASTIC

摘要

A flame retardant for a plastic comprising a brominated terpenoid compound, which has a structure obtained by the addition of bromine to a carbon-carbon double bond in a terpenoid compound. The brominated terpenoid compound is useful as a flame retardant for a combustible plastic material, and is comparable to, for example, tetrabromocyclooctane in flame-retarding effect, and also is free from the generation of unpleasant odor.
