PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve combustion, and to promote oxidization of metallic aluminum. SOLUTION: This combustion device leads the combustion gas G from a furnace 1 having a fluidized layer 2 into a particle catcher 9 to catch the particles accompanied with the combustion gas G, and re-circulates the caught particles into the furnace 1. This combustion device stores the particles, which are caught by the particle catcher 9, in a fluidized bed combustor 11 provided side by side with the furnace 1. Air g for combustion and the auxiliary fuel e are supplied to the fluidized bed combustor 11 to oxidize the non-burned fuel gas and a low-melting-point metal contained in the particles stored in the fluidized bed combustor 11.
