An intermediate conveyor (4) is positioned between the drum shaped collector (1) and drum shaped conveyor (2). The intermediate conveyor has spaced apart tine-stars (5) driven in the same direction as the collector implements (6) of the collector, and engaging with them. The tine-stars move past the conveyor implements (7) of the conveyor. The harvested crop picked up by the collector is deposited on a stripping comb (8) fitting between the tine stars. The crop is conveyed by the conveyor implements of the conveyor on the inside of the outer wall (9) of a conveyor duct (3) along into the harvester's loading space (11).
