PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open/close speed controller for an automatic swing door at a low cost having high performance and high reliability. SOLUTION: The open/close speed controller has a switch-output storage means in which a door open/close range from totally opening to totally closing is partitioned into a plurality of sections and combinations of different switch outputs are set every section, a section discriminating means in which the movement of the door to either of each section is discriminated from combinations of the on-off states detected by a plurality of switches and the storage means, a section moving-time measuring means in which a door moving time between each section by the section discriminating means is measured, and a driving-motor speed increasing means in which the speed of a driving motor for opening and closing the door is increased when the moving time between either of the moving times between each section exceeds a specified moving time.
