PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a continuous three-dimensional tomographic image by operating a switch while an ultrasonic wave transmitting/receiving part is in contact with a diagnosis object part, reducing burden applied to an operator and a patient and shortening the diagnosis time. SOLUTION: The subject ultrasonic search unit is provided with the ultrasonic wave transmitting/receiving part 110 which includes a vibrator 111 emitting the ultrasonic wave from the tip face within a set range and receiving its reflected wave in the tip part of a search unit part 120. This ultrasonic search unit is also provided with a vibrator rotation drive part 130 which drives to rotate the vibrator 111 around a central axis extension line of the search unit part 120, at least, by 180°. The ultrasonic search unit emits the ultrasonic wave while rotating the vibrator 111, receives the reflected wave and provides the continuous three-dimensional tomographic image of the diagnosis object part.
