PURPOSE: A method for upgrading system software of home appliances is provided to receive upgraded system software information on each home appliance through a set top box at home if a TV broadcasting station delivers the upgraded information, and to supply the received information to a user, thereby conveniently upgrading system software of the home appliances. CONSTITUTION: A user selects an up-to-date system software upgrade function of home appliances at home from data broadcasting programs about up-to-date upgraded system software information through a digital television(S100). Up-to-date system software is downloaded to a set top box from a server of a home appliance company(S110). The up-to-date system software downloaded to the set top box is downloaded to the home appliances connected with the set top box after existing system software of the home appliances is removed, and the system software is upgraded(S120). |
