PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method of measuring MTF(modulation transfer function) of an optical system (that is, lens to be measured) realizing space saving, quick measurement and cost reduction. SOLUTION: The system is to measure optical performance including MTF of an objective optical system. The system comprises a mechanism means capable of controlling an optical system for measurement capable of using for measuring the optical performance of the objective optical system and building in the objective optical system based on the set measurement conditions, a measurement means for measuring a control quantity by the mechanism means, an operation output means for calculating the optical performance of the objective optical system and outputting, and a control means for setting the optical performance to be measured and the measurement conditions, and automatically controlling the mechanism means, the measurement means and the operational output means.
