<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a 3rd way of enjoying music and a new musical culture environment such that favorite music can freely be played or arranged without technical knowledge nor playing technique for music by using a computer as a musical instrument. <P>SOLUTION: A musical score of desired music to be played is obtained at 101 and scanned at 102 to obtain converted image data 103. The image data are converted at 104 by using software having a converting function, but the data include misrecognized places at 105. Corrections are made at 106 through standardized know-how. At 107, where the corrected musical score with sound is arranged is determined. When no arrangement is performed, the musical score is saved in 108, but when the musical score is arranged, the musical score is stored in 108 through 109. Then 110 is for providing the stored musical score with sound according to specification and the musical score is stored in 108 through 109. At 111, monitoring is carried out to determine whether the data can be reproduced as MIDI data.
