PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for a reference surface for the correction processing of wood having a twist, and apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: A feed-in conveyor 10, a planer 20, press rollers 31 and 32 and a sensor 40 are provided. The press rollers 31 and 32 press the rear end and front end of wood W individually and the feed-in conveyor 10 can set the most proper cutting quantity due to the planer 20 based on the left and right floating quantities of the wood W on the front end side thereof from the sensor 40.
