<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which enables platemaking directly from digital data of a computer etc. by performing the recording with a high power laser, is capable of forming a picture with excellent contrast and development latitude and is useful for a recording layer of a planographic printing original plate. <P>SOLUTION: The photosensitive resin composition comprises an alkali-soluble resin (A), a photothermal conversion substance (B) and a compound with three aliphatic hydroxyl groups or more which may be replaced.
