PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing method for stably obtaining an image of high definition by effectively preventing blotching, the deterioration of image density, fogging, carrier-sticking, character-scattering, etc., even in the case of repeatedly forming images. SOLUTION: As to the two-component developing method for developing and visualizing a latent image formed on a latent image carrier with non-magnetic toner having a negative charge lying on a developer carrier in a developing area where the developer carrier carrying two-component developer constituted of the toner and a carrier particle faces the latent image carrier, the carrier particle constituting the two-component developer is provided with resin components on its surface, the developer carrier is provided with a substrate and a conductive covering layer arranged on the substrate, and the triboelectrification amount of the carrier having the resin component on its surface is≤0.01mC/kg, when the non-magnetic toner on the developer carrier is removed.
