The invention relates to a system for expressing toxic proteins, an expression vector comprising the aforementioned system, a prokaryote cell transformed by the system and a method of synthesising a toxic protein using said expression system. Said expression system is characterised in that it comprises the following successive sequences in direction 5' 3', namely a nucleotide sequence coding for dipeptide Asp-Pro and a nucleotide sequence coding for a toxic protein. In a particularly preferable mode, the expression system also comprises, upstream of the Asp-Pro sequence, a nucleotide sequence coding for a soluble protein. The inventive expression system can be used to construct an expression vector which can be used to transform a prokaryote cell such as E. coli, e.g. in a toxic protein synthesis method.
