The fuel tank (1) has a suction device with separate suction connection, for independent emptying of the tank via pipes with suction points in chamber base areas. The suction pipes (17,18) are joint into a common suction connection (branch 11), and have float valves (15,16) associated with their suction points. When a chamber has been drained, the valve occupies a shut-off position on the base. The tank incorporates a fuel feed pipe (9) supplied from a fuel feed module (8). When the module is switched-off, the feed pipe together with the suction branch, form a connection between the suction pipes inside the tank, and the suction connection outside the tank.
