PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load which is imposed on a user, when the user controls electronic equipment connected to a network using an electronic equipment control device. SOLUTION: When the electronic equipment 10 is connected to a local area network 2, a document acquiring means acquires the instructions manual document of the electronic equipment 10 thus connected from an information providing server and stores it in a document database. An information display means displays the instructions manual document OD stored in the document database in an interactive form. The user conducts an operation, according to the instructions manual document OD displayed by the information display means and controls the electronic equipment 10 via the local area network 2.
