PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for games which meets the requests from the game parlor side in a shorter period and at a lower cost. SOLUTION: In the device which has a recording medium processing part 327, a communication part 334 and a control part 328 for the operation controls, display operation parts 370 and 321 which adapt themselves to different specifications are so arranged to be mountable thereon. The first display operation part 370 is provided with the first operation parts 310, 325 and 326, a character letter information display part 308 and a character display control part 323 which works to produce outputs from the control part 328 and sends the outputs to the control part 328. The second display operation part 321 is provided with an image display part 303 for displaying the images and an image display control part 345 which gets the image information outputted from the control part 328 displayed on the image display part 203. The operation signals of the second operation parts 314, 315, 316 and 317 are outputted to the control part 328 and the control part 328 switches the own control processing to the control processing to match the first display operation part 370 or the second display operation part 321 mounted on the display operation mounting part 375.
