Water-based adhesive compositions using waterborne polyesters

A water-based adhesive emulsion composition comprises (wt.%) water (30-60); and non-water adhesive components (solids) (40-70). The adhesive solids comprise vinyl acetate-ethylene polymer (90-99.9); water-dispersible polyester (0.1-10); and emulsifier (0-1). An independent claim is also included for a multi-layer material comprising substrate layer(s); and layer of a water-based adhesive emulsion composition.
