Reactive protection arrangement comprises a surface element mounted a distance away from a main armoring and consisting of two inactive outer plates (1, 2) and a pressure-initiated reactive layer arranged in between the outer plates. The reactive layer consists of at least one element having an inactive matrix (3) with embedded pellets (4) of explosive material arranged in a pattern, which are mutually pressure-initiated. An Independent claim is also included for an alternative arrangement. Preferred Features: The reactive layer consists of two elements lying behind each other and each having an inactive matrix with embedded pellets of explosive material arranged in different patterns. The matrix is made of plastic. At least the front outer plate is made of ceramic, glass ceramic, glass or plastic. At least the rear outer plate is made of metal, especially fiber-reinforced metal.
