The invention relates to human hygiene, in particular to mechanical and humid methods and means for shaving a human face. The inventive shaving method consists in defatting and wetting the face and the hair covering thereof, pre-applying a shaving means to the cutting edge of a blade on the outer surface of a shave holder and in the washing space of said blade once during shaving cycle, transferring said shaving means from the blade to the treated region of the skin and in simultaneously cutting hairs by the cutting edge of the blade.
