An optical receptacle includes a body (10) mounted on a room wall (100) via a wiring device mounting frame (1), a device side optical receptacle (11) arranged at the front side of the body (10) and connected to an SC connector (3) for connecting a device from the room side, a trunk line side optical receptacle (12) arranged at the rear side of the body (10) and connected to an SC connector (5) for connecting a trunk line extending a trunk line side optical fiber (4) into the room wall (100), and a relay optical fiber (13) for transmitting a signal between the device side optical receptacle (11) and the trunk line side optical receptacle (12).
