PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup that can efficiently wind the coil of a tracking coil with winding space so that the projection of a movable section to the outside of both sides in terms of top view is prevented or the dimensions of the projection become small. SOLUTION: The optical pickup 1 has the movable section 3, a support base 5, and a yoke section 6. At the movable section 3, the winding space S for winding the coil of the tracking coil 8 is formed so that the outside of both sides in terms of top view (the side of an arrow H2) of the movable section 3 becomes wide gradually.
