PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the work holding device for use in a washing apparatus capable of accurately holding a work by simple constitution to accurately wash or drain the whole surface of the work. SOLUTION: When the washing work of the work 2 or the drain work thereof for removing the waterdrops adhering to the work 2 by the washing work is performed, while rotating the work 2, in such a state that the work 2 is held by pressing the upper surface of the work 2 placed on a rotary table 1 by a press means 3, a rotary press part such as a roller or the like is provided as the press means 3 and brought into contact with the rotary table 1 at a position eccentric from the center of rotation of the rotary table 1 so as to be rotatable in the direction coinciding with the rotary direction of the rotary table 1 to press and hold the work 2.
