APPARATUS FOR DETECTING MISALIGN OF CASSETTE FOR CHIP MOUNT

PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided to prevent a degradation of operating efficiency of chip mount by detecting the misalign of the cassette in the carriage. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises area sensors(101,103) and a buzzer(105). The area sensors are mounted on a carriage(20) in such a manner that the area sensors operate when even one of cassettes(30) is erroneously mounted in the carriage. The area sensors include light emitting portions(101a,103a) and light receiving portions(101b,103b). The area sensors are arranged to operate when a cassette fixing cover for fixing the cassette on the carriage opens. Alternatively, the area sensors are arranged to operate when an electronic component roll tape laminated in the cassette is protruded into a length longer than the predetermined length from the cassette.
