PURPOSE: A mounting bracket for a facia mounting type shift lever is provided to reduce injury of passengers, and to absorb shock by disconnecting the mounting bracket from the facia mounting type shift lever in bumping the passenger into the facia mounting type shift lever assembly at a collision. CONSTITUTION: A mounting bracket(1) of a facia mounting type shift lever comprises a lower frame(2) fixed to a vehicle body; a mounting frame(3) turned and combined with the lower frame; and a support rod supporting by connecting the lower frame to the mounting frame. The support rod is combined with the mounting frame by a first fixing unit and a second fixing unit. The first fixing unit is broken in applying impact over the reference value to the mounting frame, and the mounting frame is moved downward by a guide unit installed in the support rod in breaking the first fixing unit and fixed by the second fixing unit.
