PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a dope for forming a cellulose acylate film suitable for applications such as a protection film especially for a polarizing plate of a liquid crystal display device, an optical compensation film, a color film and a photosensitive material; and to provide a method for forming the film by solution casting. SOLUTION: The method for preparing the dope comprises carrying out the preparation by an apparatus having a concentrating device 35 for concentrating the dope, and an inline mixer 41 for adding fine particles to the dope, installed in a dope-preparing line 10 for preparing the dope obtained by dissolving a polymer in a solvent and regulated so that the inline mixer 41 is arranged after the concentrating device 35.
