The invention concerns an osteosynthesis, in particular metaphyseal, device (1), comprising a rod (3) including first fixing means (39) and a bone anchoring member (2) including second fixing means (24) adapted to co-operate with the first fixing means to assemble the rod and the anchoring member, the first and second fixing means being designed such that the rod and the anchoring member are assembled by simple translation along a main axis of the rod. The invention is characterized in that the first and second fixing means are designed such that the rod and the anchoring member are assembled by co-operating matching shapes. The invention also concerns a method for using said device.
