METHOD FOR MEASURING QUANTITY OF SLAG IN LADLE USING TRACER ELEMENTS IN STEELMAKING PROCESS

PURPOSE: A method for measuring quantity of slag in ladle is provided which calculates quantity of the slag by collecting slag, analyzing elements of the collected slag and substituting the element analysis results for a suitable numerical formula after adding tracer elements to the ladle. CONSTITUTION: The method for measuring quantity of slag in ladle comprises a step of adding tracer elements to the ladle; a step of analyzing elements of the collected slag by collecting slag from the ladle; and a step of calculating quantity of slag by substituting the element analysis results for a suitable numerical formula, wherein the ladle is an arrival ladle for the secondary refining, and wherein the ladle is a departure ladle for the continuous casting process.
