<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a receiver side to easily obtain an accurate synchronizing signal, in an OFDM signal transmitting/receiving system. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitter side of the system has an IFFT circuit for generating a multilevel QAM signal, a guard interval setting circuit, and a clock signal generating circuit for driving both circuits. In the transmitter side, a pilot signal having a high frequency in which phases are to be set at predetermined values over a plurality of symbol sections is generated by the IFFT circuit. The pilot signal is set so as to have an integral number of wavelengths in the guard interval period, to have half-wavelengths multiplied by an odd number, to exist as signals in a real number section, or exist as a signal having a single frequency multiplied by fou. The pilot signal is continuously sent out over the plurality of symbol sections. A receiver side generates an accurate clock signal for driving the system on the basis of the pilot signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
