PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing various allyl compounds, by using a new catalyst system produced at a low cost, having excellent heat stability, and exhibiting high catalytic activity when the new allyl compound different from a raw material compound for the allyl compound is produced by reacting the raw material compound with a nucleophile. SOLUTION: This method for producing the allyl compound comprises reacting the raw material compound for the allyl compound with the nucleophile in the presence of a catalyst containing one or more transition metal compounds and one or more bidentate phosphite compounds, wherein the transition metal compound is formed out of a metal selected from a group comprising transition metals belonging to the 8 to 10 groups in the periodic table, and the bidentate phosphite compound is expressed by general formula (I): (R<SP>11</SP>O)(R<SP>12</SP>O)P-O-A<SP>1</SP>-O-P(OR<SP>13</SP>)(OR<SP>14</SP>) (A<SP>1</SP>is a diarylene group having branched alkyl groups at the ortho positions; and R<SP>11</SP>to R<SP>14</SP>are each an alkyl group which may be substituted or an aryl group which may be substituted) or the like.
