<p>1,268,359. Transistor switching circuits. PLESSEY CO. Ltd. 16 July, 1969 [18 July, 1968], No. 34242/68. Heading H3T. The largest of a plurality of (negative) input signals 4, 3, &c. is detected by a circuit comprising transistors 6, 10 respectively receiving the signals, having a constant current source 7 connected to their emitters and driving respective emitter followers 8, 11 with a common load 13, the load 13 controlling the current through a transistor 14 connected in series with a transistor 15 which derives base bias from the constant current source 7. A variable constant current source 16 and a resistor 17 provide a variable level shift for the output signal. A similar circuit 1<SP>1</SP> detects the most positive of input signals applied at 3<SP>1</SP>, 4<SP>1</SP>. The two signals are compared at 2. (For Figures see next page)</p> |
