PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a both tank type heat exchanger attaching a connector to one side in the direction of lamination to increase degree of freedom in the arrangement of the connector. SOLUTION: A protruding part 3a is formed by protruding a tank 3 onto an outer side in the direction of lamination more than a tube 4 positioned at a terminal on one side in the direction of lamination. A side tank 10 extending along the longitudinal direction of the tube 4 is connected with a protruding part 3. The connector 9 is connected with a side opposite to the protruding part 3a of the side tank 10. Dimension from an end of a protruding part side of the side tank 10 to an end on a connector connection side is determined in accordance with a mounting position of the connector 9 to arrange the connector 9 at a free position.
